Happy Saturday, everyone!!
Check out these awesome knock off decor ideas I've spotted online this week! It's so cool to see how people take ideas they see in magazines and figure out inventive ways to create their own decor with personal flair. Not to mention some big $$$$ savings!
Check out these amazing stenciled curtains from PB&Jstories! They are West Elm ikat ogee panel knockoffs, and I think they're pretty darn good looking. I'm already considering stenciling my solid white sailcloth curtains hanging in our living and dining rooms! I just need to figure out what color I would stencil on and get with it! Excited to try this one out! I've also heard of people stenciling shower curtains. SOOO many ideas and beautiful stencils to play around with!
I'm also in love with this giclee inspired laundry sign that was shared over on Infarrantly Creative. It's a knockoff from Ballard Designs. I just love the look and feel of it. So perfect for a laundry room, obviously, or by simply changing up the word, you could customize it for a kids room, great room, etc.
I am also positively enthralled with this painted floor featured on Katie Maennle's Blog. I just love the design and color scheme. It would look muy perfecto in our kitchen. Now, if I can just replicate this pattern on an inexpensive, standard jute runner... I could "invent" my very own knock off and live happily ever after! If you're interested in beating me to the punch, here's an awesome tutorial on rug stenciling from House of Smith's! Shelley is absolutely inspiring and I love her stuff! If you haven't checked out her blog for inspiration yet, you should! BUT don't be mad at me when you end up spending all your time being inspired by her! :)
Ohhhh and if you're eyeing that great light fixture in the picture above, those are easy enough to DIY, too. Find your favorite basket, cut a hole in the top, and put a pendant light fixture from the hardware store up! Easy peasy!
Speaking of basket pendant lights...Check this one out from Atlanta Homes Magazine. GORGEOUS and probably quite easy to knock off if you can find the right basket. Totally going in my "someday" file.
Now, for a favor to ask.... If any of you are pinterest account holders, could you kindly invite me to join? :) Pretty please?!? I've been trying to not get addicted, but I think it's inevitable. Just send the invite to "thetallchickblog@gmail.com". THANK YOU!

OMG I love these tips...especially the light fixture. I am going to be on the look out for the PERFECT basket. And the curtains are awesome...definitely going to check them out!
